Alexander Wiesmaier holds a professorship for cyber security and foundations of computer science at Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences. He is a founding member and co-head of the Applied Cyber Security Darmstadt research group.
His research interests include cryptography, security protocols, and privacy, focusing on subsets of applied, long-term, provable and usable cyber security.
He is a member of ATHENE National Research Center for Applied Cybersecurity, and responsible manager of Steinbeis Transfer Center Cyber Security & System Architecture.
