• Business informatics and software applications:
  improving the planning, construction, operation and evolution of complex information systems in real-life businesses and administrations, with a particular focus on constraints from human factors, from business and, from technology.


• Business processes and decisions:
  formal analysis of processes, decisions, and their models, aiming at measurable improvements in real-life business context.


• R&D example process mining with "a.i." analysis and prediction (2018).


• Steinbeis Transfer Center ILBI (innovation lab business informatics):
  • Comprehensive services for collaborative, applied R&D since 2023.
  • The ILBI neither follows flashy techno vogues which aren't thought out, nor does it chase intransparent funding schemes or grants.
  • Instead, the ILBI works closely with it's partners to generate measurable competitive advantages in real practice. Thus we continuously identify promising topics for applied research and development.
  • We can quickly respond to new challenges on the one hand, which on the other hand we are able to address by long term research, too. Innovative topics always have a chance to enter the applied research and development portfolio of ILBI.
