Portrait: Zander, Stefan, Prof. Dr.

Seit April 2017 bin ich Professor am Fachbereich Informatik der Hochschule Darmstadt. Davor war ich von 2013 bis 2017 als Research Scientist und Forschungsgruppenleiter am FZI Forschungszentrum Informatik am Karlsruher Institut für Technologie (KIT) tätig. Promoviert habe ich 2012 an der Universität Wien im Themengebiet der Kontext-sensitiven Replikation von semantischen Wissensgraphen auf mobilen Endgeräten.

Im Rahmen meiner Forschungstätigkeit beschäftige ich mich mit dem Einsatz von Methoden des User-Centered Design (User Research, Design Thinking, Usability Evaluation) sowie mit semantischen Technologien und deren Anwendungen in unterschiedlichen Spezialgebieten wie bspw. Augmented Reality, Cyber-Physischen Systemen (Industrie 4.0), Ambient Assisted Living, Automatisierung und Robotik.

Für die Stärkung des KI-Angebots des Fachbereichs biete ich zwei neue KI-Module zu den Themengebieten (a) Grundlagen semantischer Wissensgraphen und (b) den Einsatz von Ontologien bzw. symbolischer Wissensrepräsentationsformen im organisationellen Wissensmanagement an.
