Business Informatics

The Business Informatics Groupof the Department of Computer Science at Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences coordinates the range of courses, the conception of events and the cooperation between the department and companies with practical experience in the field of Business Informatics. Business Informatics is an interdisciplinary field of computer science with the focus on the conception, development, introduction and operation of business information systems.

In both the bachelor's degree programmes and the in-depth master's degree programme, students have the opportunity to deepen their knowledge in the field of Business Informatics by enrolling in the corresponding subjects in this subject area.

Qualifications in Business Informatics have been in high demand on the job market for many years. The department is working to further expand the range of subjects in this area. Various projects give students the chance to put what they have learned into practice.

Courses

In addition to the compulsory Bachelor's courses Introduction to Business Informatics and Project Management, the members of the department offer various (elective) courses in the department's Bachelor's and Master's programmes.

Laboratories and Infrastructure

The courses in the field of Business Informatics are either held in the two laboratories listed below or as a notebook internship. For some courses the Big Data Cluster of the Department is used.
