Decentralized QSL Study Committee
Since May 2021, there have been new statutes for the allocation of project funds for the improvement of study conditions and the quality of teaching. A new version of the statutes was adopted on 24.5.2022:
From the statutes:
“As part of the QSL funds allocated to Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences, the project funds are to be used for the specific purpose of improving the quality of study conditions and teaching. § Section 1 para. 3 sentence 5 of the QSL Act applies here: Project funds are to be used in particular for innovative, interdisciplinary or student projects and corresponding longer-term offers to improve the quality of study conditions and teaching; the continuation of a course offer from the project funds is possible outside the curriculum provided for the respective degree program in the study and examination regulations.”
“The department uses the project funds to improve study conditions and teaching, in particular for the following measures
- Strengthening the range of courses and expanding mentoring and tutorial services
- Improving equipment for teaching, tutorials, small group work and individual work
- Additional resources for student advisory services
- Modernization of practical and laboratory equipment
- Improving the library's media equipment
- Improvement of multimedia equipment for students
- Model projects for the development of new forms of teaching and learning
- Special advice for foreign students
- Infrastructure measures to improve learning conditions after approval by the Executive Board.”
According to the statutes, the Chair of the decentralized QSL Study Commission is the Dean of Studies (currently Prof. Dr. Kai Renz).
