Operating Systems/Distributed Systems

The Operating Systems/Distributed Systems Group of the Department of Computer Science develops and coordinates the teaching and research activities in the field of Operating Systems and Distributed Systems.
Current research focuses include the following areas

  • Block Chain
  • P2P Systems
  • Cloud Computing
  • High-Performance I/O

Courses

In addition to the compulsory Bachelor's courses (Operating Systems and Distributed Systems), the members of the department offer various courses in the department's Bachelor's and Master's programmes, as well as projects with changing topics in Bachelor's (Project System Development) and Master's programs (Master's Project).

Laboratories and Infrastructure

The courses in the field of operating systems and distributed systems are mainly held in the System Development Lab (D14/310) or as a notebook lab.
