PhD in Applied Computer Science
For more than 20 years, the Department of Computer Science at Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences has been conducting cooperative PhD studies.
More than 35 PhD candidates have successfully completed their doctorates, 4 of them are already professors. Over 20 PhD students are currently in the programme.

Since 2017, Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences has had its own right to award doctorates in Applied Computer Science. It cooperates with Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences, Fulda University of Applied Sciences Fulda and RheinMain University of Applied Sciences in the cross-university PhD Centre for Applied Computer Science (Promotionszentrum Angewandte Informatik, PZAI).
In addition, there are PhD cooperations with national and international partners.
